No more snow in Alabama

After spending all afternoon with a chainsaw(hubbie) and rakes and four trailer loads of limbs and pinecones I have decided I no longer want snow in L.A. we worked a long hard time yesterday just to be able to see the ground yesterday. Those limbs were the size of some of my trees.

I butchered a mean rooster yesterday too. Busy day..... In the fight I received some battle wounds and a probably a broken knuckle but he did die and we will eat him. I boiled him most of the night and I will make chicken pie. Plus we got another new guinea pig for bartman to make friends. So far Bartman is jealous but the new one is huge and gorgeous. He has red hair like me and one big white spot on his head. I think the children named him HEHE.

I have been planting bulbs for the upcoming spring.
I also am preparing my childrens lessons for my mom to take over while i recover from colostomy surgery. She was a teacher for 30 years so she has no problems taking over for me for awhile.

While recovering I will scrapbook and finish some quilts and read.

See ya'll soon.

Well folks, the homeymoon was great and not great. Both David and I enjoyed the views but we were both sick with a terrible virus. We spent very little money on food and we didn't shop but we relaxed and saw some amazing scenery

40 Year Wait!! Snowman in Southeast AL

It finally happened. My 40 year dream. We received enough snow to make a snowman and play in the snow. 6 inches and it was a huge HIT. We played for hours and we soaked our clothes several times but who cared. It was SNOWING in ALABAMA. I will put the pics on my blog asap. I took over 200 pictures. Thank goodness for digital cameras.LOL
